|This article refers to the Stage Gate Process from release 23.2 onwards.|
The stage configuration allows you to determine things like amount of stages, who can approve the stages, and what is expected at each stage.
In the classic model, the stage gate configuration is accessed through the Administration section. These stage gates are applied to initiatives using the classifications. For program model, the configuration is accessed via the program configuration. This configuration is applied to all of the program's projects.
The configuration screen is separated into three sections:
- Progress Graph
- Stage Configuration
The toolbar is used to set the general properties of the process.
|Select a Process||Use an established Stage Gate Process as a template or choose a shared process.|
|Process Name||Change the name of the process. This will appear above the Stage Gate widget.|
|Number of Stages||You can choose to have up to 10 stages in your process.|
|Milestones||Turning this on will create stage milestones in your schedule.|
The graph functions as the navigation for the stage configuration. Click on the stage that you want to edit. This graph also represents what will be visible in the stage gate widget.
This box is where you set all of the stage information and functionality. You can save your changes using the save button, or undo all of your changes using the reset button.
|Stage Name||Set the name of the selected stage. This will appear in the progress graph.|
|Gate Identifier||Set the name of the gate for the selected stage. This will appear in the progress graph.|
|Assessment Criteria||Write a description of the selected stage here. This could include the goals and expectations.|
|Add Checklist Item||Add auditable checklist items to the stage. See here for more information.|
|Approval Workflow||Choose a process of approvals to apply to this stage. You will get a preview of this process when selected.|
|On Rejection go to Stage||You can choose an end stage for the entire process to skip to if this stage's approval request is rejected.|
|Stages Available||By default, the next stage is selected. If you have additional end stages, they can also be selected, enabling this stage to skip to them on approval.|
|Record Baseline||Used in conjunction with the Project Brief feature. Enabling this will record the state of a project at the end of every stage.|
|Enable supporting documents||Enabling this will allow users to attach documents to each stage. See here for more information.|
