Your role in the team determines what you can do in the initiative or its sub-initiatives. Different roles are configured with distinct permissions to view or edit benefits, costs, dashboards, documents, history, map, reports, resources, risks, schedule, team, integrations, baselines, business cases, goals, and scenarios.
To understand what access permissions you have, navigate to the Team dashboard of the initiative.
Click on the Edit(pen icon) button against your name. The Edit Team member form displays. Click on the arrow next to Details to display a list of Amplify objects and modules. A green tick mark indicates that the object is accessible.
Permissions can be of different types depending upon what settings are enabled for the role.
Write Access with no Cascade Permissions | A green tick mark next to Write Access indicates that you have the permission to make changes or create new objects marked with the green tick in the Details box. If the Cascade Permissions setting is disabled, it means that you can only access the modules or objects at that level, but will not have access to any child object of the initiative. |
Write Access with Cascade Permissions | If you see the Cascade Permissions setting enabled in addition to Write Access, it means that you have permission to access all the enabled child objects of the initiative. |
No Write Access and no Cascade Permissions | If you see the Write Access disabled, it means that you can only view objects marked with the green tick in the Details box. If the Cascade Permissions setting is disabled, it means that you are further restricted to modules or objects at that level. |
No Write Access but with Cascade Permissions |
If you see the Cascade Permissions setting enabled but no write access, it means that you will be able to view objects at the initiative level as well as its sub levels. Please note that only those objects that are marked with the green tick mark in the Details section will be accessible. |
