Amplify triggers email notifications to registered users when certain actions are performed within the application. For example, when a user is asked to approve a workflow or is assigned to a measurement schedule.
The Notifications interface allows the administrator to define whether an email notification should be sent to the user or not. You can see a list of email notifications with a description of the situation that will trigger each of them on this interface. Some of the notifications are designed to be scheduled or sent once a day.

Enabling Email Notifications
Amplify allows you to decide whether users should receive email notifications when certain actions are completed.
To enable a specific notification:
- Ensure that emails are enabled for your site.
- From the upper-right corner, click on your user name or avatar and then select Administration from the list of options.
- Scroll down to select the Notifications tab on the left.
- Locate the name of the notification in the list on the right-hand side.
- Click on the notification that you wish to enable.
This will display the Edit Notifications form. - Check Enable this notification if you would like users to receive a notification for this action. If it is a scheduled notification, it will be triggered once a day, when the background process runs.
- Click on Update notification to save the changes.

Amplify's default email templates are utilised for sending email notifications unless and until you customize them.
